Oily Dandruff Oily dandruff is a type of seborrheic dermatitis characterized by the accumulation of yellowish or white flakes on the scalp, often accompanied by excessive sebum production. It can cause itching and irritation. This condition is common in individuals with oily skin and is associated with the activity of the Malassezia fungus, which naturally lives on the skin but may overgrow under certain conditions:
Excessive sebum production (oily scalp)
Stress
Hormonal factors
Use of unsuitable hair care products
