Seborrheic Dermatitis Seborrheic dermatitis is a chronic inflammatory skin condition that causes redness, scaling, and itching, primarily in areas with high sebaceous gland activity such as the scalp. Besides genetic predisposition, disease flare-ups are influenced by neurological disorders, extreme climatic conditions (cold and dryness), sun exposure, alcohol consumption, fatty foods, emotional stress, and depression. This type of dermatitis can be effectively treated.
